Here is a short itinerary of our wine trip to Northwest Spain. If you can’t make the trip soon, open your 3 pack, bake some pork ribs, and experience NW Spain!
Fly from Madrid to A Coruna Airport in Northwest Spain. This will be the main transit hub of the area.
Car rental is really required as the region is pretty spread out and public transit can be hit or miss.
Drive to Ourense, about 2.5 hours from A Coruna and use it as a hub for the region.

The wine region of Valdeorras, famed for its Godello grapes. Called the “Golden Valley” by the Romans, it was known as a historic source of gold mines.
