Wine Trip

languedoc france

Travel languedoc france with us!

Here is a short itinerary of our wine trip to Languedoc France. If you can’t make the trip soon, open your 3 pack, bake some pork ribs, and experience the Languedoc!

  • Fly to Paris, and then either take the train or fly to Montpellier.

  • Car rental is really required as the region is pretty spread out and trains won’t allow you to make the shorter stops.

  • Drive from Montpellier to Nimes, and then end the trip in Carcassonne.

Montpellier

Montpellier.jpg

A beautiful city and in many ways the capitol of the region. This is a great centralized spot to kick off your travels.

Gerard Bertand Winery, Narbonne

One of the very best producers in the region, also setting the example for conversion to organic and biodynamic viticulture. Located in Narbonne.

Carcassonne

The legendary preserved medeival village of Carcassonne. Some of the best Cassoulet you’ll find in France as well.

Mas de Daumas-Gassac

Another one of the top wineries in this area, year after year they produce some of the most interesting and well made red blends from the region (and their white wine is pretty cool too!)

Vineyards of Picpoul de Pinet

Many vineyards are located right on the coast, but are cooled by cool ocean breezes in this warm Mediterranean climate.

Nimes, Pont du Gard

Another stunning city, with well preserved Roman architecture including aqueducts, bridges, and amphitheaters.
