There are several great wine towns nestled in the Sierra Foothills. From Sacramento or Tahoe most about about 1-2 hours drive either direction with many in between.

Sutter Creek

The quaint wine town of Sutter Creek, with plenty of good dining and wine bar options, nestled in the Sierra Foothills.

Rorick Heritage Vineyard

The amazing vineyard where all the wines from this month’s release are from. A truly unique site producing vibrant and intense wines from a myriad of grapes varietals.

Yorba Wine Tasting

One of the best tasting rooms in the region, offering light snacks with a wide variety of library wines. Don’t miss out of some of their awesome Shake Ridge Ranch wines!

Shake Ridge Ranch Vineyard

One of the “Grand Cru” vineyards of the region, producing some amazing high elevation Grenache and Syrah that is sought after by wine makers all over the state.

Taste Restaurant Plymouth

A delicious place to stop for a meal, try the tasting meal and large variety of local wine by the glass or bottle.

Alpine Wilderness

This is a high elevation growing region, producing wines that are both concentrated and fresh, and a wide variety of soil types. Though Zin and Cabernet are the old school wine made here, many new and exciting alpine wines are being experimented with.
