Seattle’s Best Wine Bars
This month, we have on the menu a list of some of my favorite wine bars in Seattle. Some also have small wine shops or wine clubs, but remember, The Special Bottle Club is still the best Seattle wine club! While this list was intended for club members, all are free to join. Information on joining the Special Bottle Club and our own Bottle Shop are here.
Welcome to the Emerald City, where the wine flows as freely as the rain! Seattle is known for its vibrant food and drink scene, and its wine bars are no exception. Whether you're a seasoned sommelier or just looking to have a good time, these are some of the best Seattle wine bars that will tickle your taste buds and leave you wanting more.
The first stop on our tour of Seattle is Le Caviste. This place has an old school French bistro vibe, featuring an all French wine list and excellent charcuterie and other small dishes. One of the best values in the city and a must stop for any wine lover.
Next up, we have Light Sleeper in Capitol Hill. This cozy neighborhood spot not only offers an impressive selection of wines from around the world, but also has a great patio perfect for sipping rosé on those rare sunny days in Seattle. Definetly more natural wine/natty wine leaning but always fun options and great food pop-ups.
Last but certainly not least, Left Bank in Southpark. Featuring a large selection of natural wines and a friendly staff, this place always feels like the local neighborhood bar. Various food trucks make appearances from time to time, but theres good food options all around.
Some honorable mentions of newer places to check out or ones openening soon include Respite, Doe Bayt Wine Co, Lioness, Fable All Day, Half-Seas, Impefetta (more wine shop than bar but some drinking options are available), Rapport, La Dive, Parlour (two locations now), and Itto's.
As always recommend shopping small and local stopping in any or all of these shops over wine outlet store like Total Wine or other big box stores.
